This is perhaps the most famous Sudanese stamp design, known as the "Camel Postman." It depicts a Berberi postman riding a camel across the desert, carrying mail bags. The design was originally created by Captain (later Colonel) Stanton and remained the standard motif for Sudanese definitive stamps for several decades due to its striking and culturally significant imagery.
